Princess Cut Diamond Rings

I am just curious if there are specific diamond shapes such as the oval, princess cut, or any other that would be flattering for a larger hand. I am looking to purchase a diamond ring for my mother who lost her ring last month. She has a larger hand with long fingers. I was just on a site that said, the pear cut is flattering for smaller hands, but it didn’t mention anything for the larger hand. I was just wondering if there is any one out there who would have this type of info? Thanks in advance.

The ring/diamond is not antique, as it is only about 20ish years old. The exact weight of the diamond is not currently known, but it is much bigger than my 0.33 ct engagement ring. I think it might be like a 3/4 ct diamond, but it is a princess-cut.

If you prefer solitaire would go with the round cut diamond or the princess cut?
I like this soliataire engagement ring because it is an antique. Right now, I am waiting on the price and I hope it’s not too expensive. See if you guys like it

My boyfriend and I were just playing around online and went to tiffanys to find that a one carat 18k white gold solitaire, princess cut ring was that much. I know it is probably a very high quality diamond, but is it worth it to have Tiffany on the ring? I hear it is really desirable to have that brand!! Also what was the cost of yours/?

I went to about 5 different places looking at engagement rings and want to make sure that I’m getting a good deal. The best one I found was a 0.72 ct princess cut solitaire engagement ring from Wedding Day Jewelers. The diamond specs are: K color, SI1 clarity, 0.72 ct, and 14k gold band. It has a no-nonsense lifetime warranty for free, etc. After band, mounting, tax, etc, the total came to just under 00. Is this a pretty good deal?

OK! I asked this question, and I found that I really liked these rings the best. Both rings I REALLY love. I am going to have something similar made to either of these rings. Now my problem.. I want a 1/2 karat , flawless, d color, radiant or princess cut, diamond to go in my ring. Ive been on the net searching for quite a while to find one. But no hits. Anyone have any clues where I can find a diamond like this? Im NOT normally a very fussy woman, but I want something really beautiful. Weve been saving like crazy for this ring. i’m going to graduate high school & get my associate of arts degree & work as a flight attendant. while i’m working i’ll meet a nice marine that can play guitar & he’s going to give me a huge princess cut diamond ring. we’ll have a wedding but won’t have any paper work to say we’re married bc I don’t believe in marriage. we’ll have tons of fun when he’s home, traveling the world & doing crazy things like going skydiving & base jumping, and then when he’s away I’ll send him pictures of me modeling. once i have my A.A.A I’ll enroll in the best computer animation school in the country and get my bachelors degree. then i’ll go on to work with blizzard or dreamworks or some big company making video games. by this time my marine will have served his 4 years in the military & will find another job so he doesn’t have to go away. we’ll have two kids, either isla racquel & esme nicolette (girls) or keegan & kaiya (boys). along the way i’ll publish many, many books, and life will be awsome. lol.

Laugh, I never said I would be an artist. I love to draw, & I’ll draw to get a portfolio together for school, but that’s a hobby, not a job. You can have as many hobbies as you want. I won’t be a professional model, I’ll just take shoots to send to my marine. I’d be a flight attendant while in my first 2 years of college, & then quit. That leaves being a computer animator & writing books along the way. All very realistic goals.

I have a princess cut diamond and a engagement ring. I just want to get my diamond set, and have no others problems with it. Does anyone know of a good jeweler in NYC where I can get this ring set while I watch. I do not want to leave it over night, I want to look and see it right there. So if anyone has any suggestions.

The main diamond in my engagement ring was kicked out during a "no holds barred" Michael Jackson dance-off. Ridiculous, I know, but I was lucky enough to find my diamond and would like to set in a pave mounting with space for a 6mm center stone. Would my 5/8 princess cut diamond fit?
